Yasmeen Elmezain

Yasmeen Elmezain is a sophomore at University City High School. She recently completed an internship with Majdal Arab Community Center and currently serves as the Opinions Editor for The Commander, her school newspaper, where she diligently edits articles and helps design the newspaper layout. Yasmeen is also an active volunteer at the Islamic Center of San Diego, a spoken word poet, and a passionate advocate for her community. Additionally, she is an Aaron Price Fellow and is enrolled in Advanced Placement and Honors courses. Yasmeen aspires to pursue a career in political science and activism.
