Jessica Córdova
Jessica Córdova is the Communications Director at the Center on Policy Initiatives, a research and action institute dedicated to achieving economic and racial justice for San Diego County’s working class. She was born and raised in San Diego County and graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a BA in Ethnic Studies and a Master’s in Latin American Studies. As a graduate student at UCSD she formed part of an audiovisual oral history project interviewing militants and survivors of the Spanish Civil War and Francoist Dictatorship in Spain. This oral history project and family involvement in union activism cemented her commitment to collect and tell the stories of people’s collective power in fighting oppression. As Communications Director at CPI, Jessica pushes for language and stories that promote collective liberation.
