Lucky Aden

Youth Organizer, PANA (Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans

Lucky is the Youth Organizer at PANA, where she leads civic engagement efforts focused on voter engagement initiatives with the support of youth. She also facilitates Youth Congress, a space for first-generation immigrant and refugee youth across San Diego County to develop advocacy skills and drive change in their communities.

Coming from a Somali immigrant background, Lucky arrived in the U.S. at age five. She began her journey as a volunteer with Somali Youth United, later earning a bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition from San Diego State University and a master’s in Healthcare Administration from Ohio University in 2022.

Her goal is to one day establish a nonprofit that bridges healthcare systems in Somalia while ensuring her community in the U.S. can advocate for themselves in healthcare settings.

In her free time, Lucky enjoys spending time with family, exploring new coffee shops, watching sunsets at the beach, and traveling.
