Well-being through Arts, Culture, and Nature

August 20, 2024

Growing research recognizes the importance of promoting mental and behavioral well-being through non-clinical experiences in the arts, culture, and nature. Evidence suggests that time spent in nature can improve the attention capacity of people with attention deficit (and related) disorders, and also emphasizes that being outdoors can make us happier and healthier. Additional data shows that arts are a pathway to reduce stress and anxiety while encouraging a sense of satisfaction. Experiences in the arts, culture, and nature can provide spaces for healing, inspiration, rejuvenation and social connection.
